Flowering attributes:
Two-inch long, fragrant flowers, creamy white inside, purple-red outside fading to yellow as it ages.
Leaf attributes:
Ovate paired green leaves, may be evergreen in mild winters.
Growth habit:
Twining climber.
Light:
Fertile, humus-rich, well-drained soil.
Soil:
Full sun to partial shade.
Feeding:
During growth period apply liquid fertilizer monthly.
Propagation Methods:
Semi-ripe cuttings in summer.
Hardwood cuttings in late summer.
Pruning Methods:
Prune immediately after flowering. You can keep this pruned as a shrub, or let it climb to the moon without pruning.

Additional watering may be needed during our Northwest drought season Despite the recommendation, mine rarely receives any supplemental water. Beautiful and fragrant flowers attract the hummingbirds and birds eat the berries making this climber worth growing.
