Semi-nodding, purple flowers with yellow anthers.

Fertile, humus rich, well-drained soil.
Feeding:
Mulch well with composted manure or compost. Fertilize once a month with a complete organic fertilizer during the growing season.

Clematis 'Wisley' is fast becoming one of my favorites. Named after Britain's most loved garden, Wisley Gardens, the vine was bred by Raymond Evison. Making its debut at the Chelsea Show in 2004, this beautiful, purple-blue flowering cultivar was introduced as part of a Bicentenary Plant Collection--C. 'Rosemoor', a velvety wine red hue, C. Hyde Hall^TM, an off-white, and Harlow Carr^TM, a velvety purple. With C. viticella in its heritage, this cultivar has large blossoms that flower over an exceptionally long period, June through September.
