Container Garden–Cordyline 'Red Sister'
Cordylines with their spiky leaves contribute outstanding architectural elements for container gardens. C. 'Red Sister', with its red leaves, adds color without a flower element. Plant alone, or use flowers that compliment the red foliage of the cordyline, or echo the color with flowers at its feet.
I positioned the container close to an apple tree where the fruit echoes the color of the cordyline foliage. Even the rust on a nearby metal sculpture complements the setting in the garden.
