Bells, Honeywort and Pots
Debbie Teashon
I love this container garden. Coming up with plants that would look good in new purple pottery was fun. In small pots, I sowed seeds of Moluccella laevis (bells of Ireland) and Cerinthe major purpurescens (blue honeywort). When the plants were large enough and danger of frost had passed, I planted three of each plant into the larger container. The plants filled the pot in little time. The foliage and flowers were set off by the purple pot, especially the bracts and flowers of the purple-blue cerinthe.
