Midsummer to early autumn.
Flowering attributes:
3 to 4 inch single, white flowers with 4-6 blunt tepals, with green tips. In midsummer the flowers may be all white.
Leaf attributes:
Deciduous, green leaves.
Light:
Tops in full sun to partial shade, feet in shade.
Soil:
Fertile, humus rich, well-drained soil.
Feeding:
Mulch well with composted manure or compost. Fertilize once a month with a complete organic fertilizer during the growing season.
Propagation Methods:
Layer branches in late winter. | Basal and softwood cuttings in spring. | Division in spring. | Semi-ripe cuttings in early summer.

A vigorous vine from the viticella group, Clematis 'Alba Luxurians' is suitable for climbing up a deck post or draping across a fence, as well as growing throughout trees and conifers. The first time I saw this Clematis I knew I had to have one. Then I realized a friend had given me hers when she moved. Here's to a good friend!
C. 'Alba Luxurians' was first introduced around 1900. Some believe Veitch and Son of England bred it. In 1993, the vine was given the Royal Horticultural Society's Award of Garden Merit.
