Rainy Side Notes

Weigelia made great scaffolding for tall lilies planted at its base, in my last garden. This shrub looks good in flower but not much to look at the rest of the year. My new plan is to grow a Billardiera vine on it to give additional season interest to the shrub. I also am pruning and training it for a windswept look.
