GROWING GUIDE

Geographic Origin: China, Korea, and Japan.
Plant Group: Perennials.
Hardiness: Sunset zones: 1-9, 14-24. USDA zones: 4-9.
Mature size: Height 36 inches (90 cm). Width 24 inches (60 cm).
Flowering period: Mid to late summer.
Flowering attributes: Tapering and arching racemes of saucer-shaped, white flowers.
Leaf attributes: Five, in long pointed, olive-green leaves.
Growth habit: Rhizomatous.
Light: Full sun to partial shade.
Soil: Fertile moist soil.
Feeding: I don't feed mine.
Propagation Methods: Divide in spring or autumn.

Rainy Side Notes

Watch this plant closely it will creep into other areas of the garden fairly quickly. Give it about an acre to roam around in. The more water it gets the faster it seems to spread, so sight this plant carefully. Shovel prune its creeping stems as needed.
