GROWING GUIDE

Geographical Origin: Northwest Turkey.
Plant Group: Perennial.

Hardiness: Sunset zones: 6-9. USDA zones: 4-24.
Mature size: Height: 24 inches (60 cm). Width: indefinate.
Flowering period: Late winter to spring.
Flowering attributes: Yellow green bracts on cymes to 7 inches tall.
Leaf attributes: Dark green, glossy, leathery leaves.
Growth habit Evergreen spreading perennial.
Light: Light dappled shade.
Soil: Moist, humus rich soil.
Propagation Methods: Sow seed when ripe and place in cold frame, or temperatures of 41ºF (5ºC). Germination can be irregular. | Divide early in spring.
Pruning Methods: Cut flowering stems down to the ground when flowers fade.

Rainy Side Notes

I remove wandering stems where not wanted. So far this has been successful in keeping it in bounds. Place where it won't overwhelm smaller perennials. Foliage looks good all year round.
