Echevaria Globe
Debbie Teashon
On a trip to Vancouver Island’s Butchart Garden back in 2004, I spotted this spectacular hanging globe basket planted with the silver Echevaria runyonii ‘Rose’ plants. For many years, I have wanted to duplicate this container for myself. This year I will attempt my own hanging basket with some form of echevarias. I have planted tiny hens and chicks (sempervivums) in globes before, so planting a container like this—on a larger scale—will not be that much different.
