Container Garden–Cordyline 'Red Sister'

Cordyline 'Red Sister'

Cordylines with their spiky leaves contribute outstanding architectural elements for container gardens. C. ‘Red Sister’, with its red leaves, adds color without a flower element. Plant alone, or use flowers that compliment the red foliage of the cordyline, or echo the color with flowers at its feet.

I positioned the container close to an apple tree where the fruit echoes the color of the cordyline foliage. Even the rust on the metal sculpture complements the setting in the garden.
